The Successful Interview
Course Outline

DURATION 1 day
PREREQUISITES None
WHO'S THIS FOR? If you have interviews coming up for the first time in a long time, or have not been having the success at interviews that you want, then this workshop will give you the inside track to different interview and questioning styles and how you can best prepare to give compelling answers.  It is therefore particularly useful for individuals who have recently had to consider a new job, or have been out of the job market for some time, either from a career break or from having worked in the same organisation for a long time.  It will also be beneficial for graduates or school leavers in preparing for their first taste of interviewing.
WHAT'S THE POINT?

Within Visions, we have interviewed literally thousands of candidates for numerous roles with our corporate and public sector clients.  We have also trained hundreds of recruiting managers in how to conduct effective interviews and make the best recruiting decisions.  This first hand experience enables us to identify what it is that strong candidates do to be successful and what mistakes to avoid if you want to achieve interview success.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME? In the workshop, you will gain a clearer insight into the mindset of recruiting managers.  We will explore the role of interviews within the recruitment and selection process and what changes have been made to interviewing over the last two decades in order to improve their quality.  These insights will enable you to dramatically improve your preparation for interviews.  We will introduce you to different interviewing questions and techniques so that you can identify what the recruiting manager is looking for and how best you can answer.  There will be opportunities to practice interview responses and receive specific feedback from experienced interviewers on how you came across.
